Our Mission:

Clean air for St Mary's.

The parents of St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Chiswick have formed the non-political 'St Mary's Air Pollution Group' to tackle the issue of air pollution in Greater London schools.

The Problem

St Mary's Catholic Primary School has been identified as one of the most polluted schools in the whole of Greater London.

The school perimeter runs directly alongside the busy A4 dual carriageway, with an estimated flow of 100,000 vehicles a day, thus source of major air pollution.

Pollution levels at St Marys are both illegal and harmful to the health of our children.

ZONES With Illegal Levels of AIR POLLUTION

37 out of 43 zones across the UK still have illegal levels of air pollution.

High risk Polluted London schools

A survey conducted by the London Mayor's office identified over 50 schools in Greater London affected by poor quality of air.

Studies have shown that the health of children living within 150 metres of illegally polluted roads can be affected by traffic-related air pollution.
